Application Fees Notice

Application-fees are waived for UG level admission in the current academic year following the Government directive.
Those who already applied after paying the application fees will get the refund of the same from the college in due course. Candidates who already paid the application fees, are required to preserve their payment acknowledgement slip, as it has to be produced during refund.

BENGALI HONOURS (BNGA)

Eligibility Criteria for BNGA :
General candidates : 45% in Bengali and 50% in Aggregate
S.C., S.T. candidates : 40% in subject & 40% in aggregate (best of 4).

ENGLISH HONOURS (ENGA)

Eligibility Criteria for ENGA :
General candidates :

  • Candidates having English B (Second language) in WBCHSE or Compulsory English in ISC or Core English CBSE Class XII Board Exams:
    80% in English and 65% in Aggregate
  • Candidates having English A (First language) in WBCHSE or Elective English in ISC or CBSE Class XII Board Exams:
    70% in English A/Elective English and 65% in Aggregate

S.C., S.T. candidates : 40% in subject & 40% in aggregate (best of 4).

50% in Aggregate (if you have not studied History in Class XII or equvalent).
S.C., S.T. candidates : 40% in subject & 40% in aggregate (best of 4).

50% in Aggregate (if you have not studied POLITICAL SCIENCE in Class XII or equivalent)

S.C., S.T. candidates : 40% in subject (Sociology or related subject *) & 40% in aggregate (best of 4).

(* Related subjects in case candidates do not have Sociology in their higher secondary stage : Psychology, Philosophy, Mathematics, Education, Economics, Political Science and History)

* Related subjects in case candidates do not have Education in their higher secondary stage : Psychology, Philosophy, Mathematics, Sociology, Economics, Political Science and History.

The Candidates of General Course must select three subjects taking one each from the given three slots

1st General Subject : English
2nd General Subject (any one) : Geography, Journalism and Mass Communication, Psychology, Philosophy, Education, Human Rights, Mathematics
3rd General subject (any one) : Bengali, History, Pol. Science, Economics, Sociology, Sanskrit

Eligibility Criteria for BSGN :
General candidates : Passed Higher Secondary or equivalent Examination from Govt. recognised board

General candidates : 35% in aggregate (best of 4)
S.C., S.T. candidates : 35% in aggregate (best of 4)

Students have to choose one group of elective subjects from the 4 sets.
